Libertana Receives Grant from HALO Foundation to Support Palliative Care Services

Libertana is proud to share that its Palliative Care Services Program has received a generous grant from the HALO Foundation. This meaningful contribution will directly enhance the organization’s ability to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to children and families navigating serious and life-limiting illnesses.

Palliative care is a specialized form of medical care that focuses on improving quality of life by addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. For many of the children served by Libertana, this support is not only beneficial, it is essential. The grant from the HALO Foundation ensures that families will have access to critical supplies, specialized equipment, and therapeutic resources that ease the burdens they face daily.

“It allows us to meet the unique needs of each child and family with compassion, dignity, and a deep commitment to care.” says Hillary, our Palliative Care Manager.

The funding will allow Libertana to expand access to comfort care essentials including medical equipment, nutritional support, sensory and developmental tools, and caregiver resources that are often not covered by insurance but play a vital role in the well-being of pediatric patients and their loved ones.

For families already coping with the emotional and physical demands of serious illness, this grant provides both practical relief and the reassurance that they are not alone. It strengthens Libertana’s mission to provide family-centered care that prioritizes comfort, connection, and continuity during incredibly challenging times.
